The Dunning-Krueger Effect Illustrated.

A few years ago, pictures of a restored portrait of Christ made the rounds after being called the Monkey Jesus. Someone in the congregation had volunteered to do the work and it was ghastly. It turned out well in the end, kinda, because so many tourists wanted to see it in person, buy a few Monkey Jesus t-shirts, and even get tattoos of the restoration.

Apparently, botched art restoration is a common occurrence, but some are more botched than others, which leads me to an important question: is anyone working on a cure or vaccine for Dunning-Krueger folks on the left side of the Bell Curve?
